UniDem Seminar "Definition and Development of Human Rights and Popular Sovereignty in Europe" Frankfurt, Germany

19 May 2009 - At the Law Faculty of Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany the UniDem Seminar on "Definition and Development of Human Rights and Popular Sovereignty in Europe" was held on 15 and 16 March. Eminent experts in the field of law and political sciences from the German, French, English, Italian, Finnish and Norwegian Universities discussed human rights issues at the theoretical level with the critical reflections on the scope of the protection of human rights in the modern democratic societies. In this light, the participants discussed human rights that reflect the sovereign will of the people and also the international standards. The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia was represented at this gathering by Judges Professor Aldo Radolović and Dr. Mario Jelušić.
