28 September 2026 - The Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka marked its 50^th anniversary on Friday, 25 September 2026, with a ceremonial session of the Faculty Council. In his opening address, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, Professor Frane Staničić, highlighted the significant role of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka in the development of Croatian legal science and legal education. He congratulated all those who, through their work, dedication and contribution over the past 50 years, have helped build and develop the Faculty. The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy President of the Constitutional Court, Assoc. Prof. Maša Marochini Zrinski.

The celebration of five decades of the Faculty’s work brought together representatives of the academic community, judicial institutions, and local and national authorities. Congratulations were also extended by the Rector of the University of Rijeka, Professor Goran Hauser; the Mayor of Rijeka, Iva Rinčić; the Deputy Prefect of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Robert Matić; the President of the High Commercial Court, Ivica Omazić; the President of the High Administrative Court, Inga Vezmar Barlek; the Minister of Justice and Digital Transformation, Damir Habijan; the Minister of Science, Education and Youth, Professor Radovan Fuchs; and the Adviser to the President of the Republic of Croatia, Nikša Peronja.
