Regional Conference of Constitutional Courts

8 October 2021 - President of the Croatian Constitutional Court, Dr Miroslav Šeparović, took part in an on-line Regional Conference of Constitutional Courts, organised by the Constitutional Court of Serbia and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ).

Participants, presidents of constitutional courts of: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, a judge from Slovenia, and the IRZ representatives, discussed about the constitutional protection of the right to respect of family life. On the occasion, President Šeparović gave a speech about protection of rights of persons of same-sex and foster care as a form of family life, emphasising at the end that competent bodies, when deciding on foster care status, respect and implement the decision of the Constitutional Court.

All participants found the regional conference useful for both the exchange of experience and fostering the standards of human rights protection throughout the region.

CONSTITUTIONAL COMPLAINTS - INSTRUCTIONS
A large number of constitutional complaints are filed by the applicants themselves, without a representative. These submissions, as well as many other constitutional complaints, very often do not meet the requirements for filing a constitutional complaint set out in the Constitutional Act on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia.

In order to provide assistance to everyone - whether they are the applicants of a constitutional complaint or their representatives - on these pages of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia you can obtain a free form for a constitutional complaint, as well as detailed instructions for completing it.
