President of the Supreme People's Court of China at the Constitutional Court

23 April 2017 - Dr Miroslav Šeparović, President of the Croatian Constitutional Court, received Mr Zhou Qiang, President of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China and his colleagues who have been invited to Croatia by President of the Croatian Supreme Court, Branko Hrvatin. In addition to the jurisdiction and work of the Croatian Constitutional Court they also discussed the differences between the legal systems of the two countries related to constitutional judiciary, especially given that in China the constitutional matters are dealt with by the National People's Congress and the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

The Chinese delegation was accompanied by the new ambassador of China to Croatia, H.E. Zhaoming Hu, and at the meeting were also Dr Snježana Bagić, Deputy President and Dr Teodor Antić, Secretary General of the Constitutional Court as well as Mr Branko Hrvatin, President of the Supreme Court of Croatia. Apart from Croatia, President Zhou also visited Switzerland, Portugal, the World Trade Organisation and the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
