Judicial officials from the European Judicial Training Network at the Constitutional Court

30 May 2019 - Judge Dr Mario Jelušić received today several EU judicial officials whom the Croatian Judicial Academy hosted within the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) Exchange Programme. The Network, which was created in 2000, aims at a fostering common legal and judicial European culture. The Exchange Programme was launched at the initiative of the European Parliament, and first implemented in 2005, with the financial support of the European Union. Judge Jelušić introduced the colleagues to the functioning and organisation of the Croatian Constitutional Court, specially emphasising that the Court is not part of the judiciary. The judicial officials were particularly interested to hear about the process of election of constitutional judges, and the talks were held about the institute of constitutional complaint and Constitutional Court procedures of appeal (appeal against the decision to relieve a judge of office and about the disciplinary responsibility of a judge).

CONSTITUTIONAL COMPLAINTS - INSTRUCTIONS
A large number of constitutional complaints are filed by the applicants themselves, without a representative. These submissions, as well as many other constitutional complaints, very often do not meet the requirements for filing a constitutional complaint set out in the Constitutional Act on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia.

In order to provide assistance to everyone - whether they are the applicants of a constitutional complaint or their representatives - on these pages of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia you can obtain a free form for a constitutional complaint, as well as detailed instructions for completing it.
