The Venice Commission organised in cooperation with the Constitutional Court of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan a conference on "Constitutional Courts and the Judiciary: protecting human rights together", held in Amman, on 24 April 2014. The Croatian Constitutional Court was represented by Judge Slavica Banić, also a substitute member of the Venice Commission from Croatia. In her presentation entitled "The Croatian Constitutional Court and the principle of fair trial" Judge Banić introduced the Judges of the Jordanian Constitutional Court to the jurisdiction of the Croatian Constitutional Court and its place in the constitutional order of our country. When speaking about the right to fair trial, she also presented some very important decisions of the Croatian Constitutional Court delivered in the review of constitutionality of legal solutions related to the issue in question.
