Ceremony in the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts marking 200th anniversary of Bishop J. J. Strossmayer's birth

27 November 2015 - Invited by Professor Emeritus Antun Tucak, F.C.A., Director of the Institute for Scientific and Artistic Work in Osijek of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Professor Jasna Omejec, President of the Croatian Constitutional Court, took part in celebrations marking 200th anniversary of the birth and 110th anniversary of the death of Josip Juraj Strossmayer, Bishop of Đakovo and Srijem dioceses. At a round table, held on this occasion in Osijek Vicarage, several dignitaries, among which Pavao Rudan, F.C.A., Professor Vladimir Dugalić, Josip Bratulić, F.C.A.,  Professor Nevio Šetić and Andrija Mutnjaković, F.C.A., spoke about Strossmayer's multileveled contribution to politics, culture, economy, science, religion of the Croatian society of the 19th century.
