18 February 2011 - Professor Jasna Omejec, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia received today Mr Thorsten Geissler, new Director of the Rule of Law Program South East Europe of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Mr. Reinhard Wessel, Head of the Foundation’s Office in Croatia. Since its establishment in 2005 the Rule of Law Program concentrates on the area of the constitutional law, protection of human and minority rights, fight against corruption and European legal order. President Omejec greatly appreciated the 2009 Foundation Project related to the Publication of the translated leading judgments of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, and its importance related to the constitutional interpretation in the proceedings for the protection of fundamental human rights of citizens and preservation of the national constitutional legal order. To that end she encouraged the Foundation to strengthen even more its activities in Croatia.
