Students from Leiden Law School visited the Constitutional Court

15 June 2023 - As part of their study visit to Croatia, a group of the best students from Leiden Law School, the Netherlands, accompanied by Professor van Raad and Professor Snijders, visited the Constitutional Court. Ms Sanja Trgovac, Head of the Constitutional Court Legal Advisors Service, received the students and introduced them to functioning, organisation and jurisdiction of the Croatian Constitutional Court. The focus was also on the differences between the two legal systems, as there is no constitutional court in the Netherlands, and the review of the constitutionality of laws is carried out prior to their adoption by the bodies involved in their passing.

Leiden Law School is one of the seven faculties of the Leiden University, which was founded in 1575. Today it is one of the leading international research universities in Europe, having produced 16 Nobel Prize winners.
