Solemn Hearing of the European Court of Human Rights to Mark the Opening of Judicial Year

29 January 2010 - Professor Jasna Omejec, President of the Court attended a solemn session and a Seminar for the official opening of the judicial year of the European Court of Human Rights. Mr. Jean-Paul Costa, President of the European Court of Human Rights, Ms. Françoise Tulkens, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights, Mr. Geert Corstens, President of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, Mr. Branko Hrvatin, President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia and Dame Mary Arden, Judge of the Court of Appeal for England and Wales were the key-note speakers at the Seminar held on the subject "The Convention is yours", while President Costa and Mr Jean-Marc Sauvé, Vice-president of the French Council of State addressed more than 150 representatives of the judicial sphere and national and local authorities at the official solemn hearing of the European Court that followed the Seminar.
