24 November 2021 - President of the Croatian Constitutional Court, Dr Miroslav Šeparović, received H.E. Robert Klinke, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Croatia, in a curtesy call. In the discussions they highlighted good bilateral relations between the Croatian Constitutional Court and German Federal Constitutional Court, on which jurisprudence our Court considerably relies in its decisions. They also talked about protection of the freedom of expression and freedom of media, in relation to which the Croatian Constitutional Court has set high standards of protection in line with the standards developed by the European Court of Human Rights. Both sides agreed that both countries share same values and have plenty in common, and expressed hope that a bilateral meeting of the two Constitutional Courts, that was scheduled for 2020 in Zagreb but had to be postponed due to the pandemic, will soon take place.
