International Conference “EUnited in Diversity: Between Common Constitutional Traditions and National Identities”

6 September 2021 - a two-day conference co-organised by the Constitutional Court of Latvia and the Court of Justice of the European Union was held in Riga on 2 and 3 September and gathered judges from 23 EU states and Judges and Advocate General of the Court of Justice of the European Union. Under the topic “EUnited in diversity: between common constitutional traditions and national identities” the participants tried to find, through dialogue, a common understanding on how to reconcile the idea of European unity with the different constitutional traditions and national identities. The Croatian Constitutional Court was at the Conference represented by Deputy President Dr Snježana Bagić, who gave an on-line speech under the 4th panel on the limitations on the exercise of fundamental rights.
