29 October - Organised by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia a Regional Conference on "Constitutional Judiciary in Theory and Practice" was held from 27 to 28 October in Belgrade, with the introductory lecture held by Professor Dres.h.c. Hans Jürgen Papier, President of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany. The participants, among whom also the delegation of the Croatian Constitutional Court composed of: Professor Jasna Omejec, President and Judges Nevenka Šernhorst, Mato Arlović and Antun Palarić, got to know and deliberated on the various subjects including the institute of constitutional complaint, relations between national courts and the European Court of Human Rights, execution and effects of the constitutional court decisions and on the interpretation of constitution from the perspective of law and politics. President Omejec addressed the participants with the experiences and actual situation of the Croatian constitutional judiciary.
