42nd International Round Table on Constitutional Justice, Aix-en-Provence

14 September 2026 - Professor Biljana Kostadinov, Judge of the Constitutional Court, participated in the 42nd International Round Table on Constitutional Justice "Constitution et pratiques de la Constitution" held in Aix-en-Provence on 11 and 12 September 2026 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Louis Favoreu Institute of Aix-Marseille University.

The gathering included a solemn session dedicated to the 50th anniversary, and the conference-debate "Le droit saisi par la politique: le regard des juges", which was attended exclusively by judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Court of Human Rights, former presidents of constitutional courts and serving judges. Introductory remarks were delivered, among others, also by the President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, the President of the Constitutional Court of Romania and constitutional judges from Italy and France. The Aix-en-Provence gathering provided an important platform for scientific dialogue on comparative law, particularly with regard to the relationship between constitutional norms, their interpretation and institutional practices. At the same time, it enabled the exchange of experiences on contemporary challenges to constitutionality and the development of closer relations between constitutional jurisdictions, European courts and the European academic community.

CONSTITUTIONAL COMPLAINTS - INSTRUCTIONS
A large number of constitutional complaints are filed by the applicants themselves, without a representative. These submissions, as well as many other constitutional complaints, very often do not meet the requirements for filing a constitutional complaint set out in the Constitutional Act on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia.

In order to provide assistance to everyone - whether they are the applicants of a constitutional complaint or their representatives - on these pages of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia you can obtain a free form for a constitutional complaint, as well as detailed instructions for completing it.
