20 May 2013 - Professor Dr Jasna Omejec, President of the Croatian Constitutional Court, gave a lecture today at the traditional seminar of the Prosecutor General with municipal and county Public prosecutors held on Brijuni from 20 to 21 May 2013. In that light, President Omejec talked about the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union as components of acquis communautaire, giving special emphasis on the guidelines for applying the EU Charter and its relation with the Convention and national law. Finally, she pointed out to the pressing need for all the state bodies to get educated on the simultaneous application of the national law, EU Charter and the Convention on Human Rights.

CONSTITUTIONAL COMPLAINTS - INSTRUCTIONS
A large number of constitutional complaints are filed by the applicants themselves, without a representative. These submissions, as well as many other constitutional complaints, very often do not meet the requirements for filing a constitutional complaint set out in the Constitutional Act on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia.

In order to provide assistance to everyone - whether they are the applicants of a constitutional complaint or their representatives - on these pages of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia you can obtain a free form for a constitutional complaint, as well as detailed instructions for completing it.
